A quick trip to our local Walmart Hendersonville - N Anderson Lane on the way home from church led to a nice surprise. They had these seasonal ballcaps on clearance for ONE DOLLAR. So we bought all they had!! Aren’t they fun?!? If you are at your local Walmart and see any of these hats, please think of BOWS & BALLCAPS. We’ll take all you can find. Happy Sunday!!
We just don’t have words to say how thankful we are for the amazing donations from the Rebekah’s Lodge of Tennessee. Last fall, the local Gallatin chapter invited Hannah to come speak, and the state president decided to make Bows & Ballcaps her project for the year. Tonight, we were honored at their annual meeting, and we received this overwhelming amount of donations that all of the chapters have collected throughout the year. So many amazing things for the kids at our ho...spitals... bows, ballcaps, blankets, socks, chapstick, games, crafts, journals and it goes on and on. We just can’t thank you all enough!! You might notice Hannah is missing from the pictures. She is enroute to Guatemala on a mission trip with our church, so the rest of the family served as back up crew tonight. But we can’t wait for her to see all of this amazing stuff when she gets home!!
We’re working on hospital shipments this weekend. And one of our hospitals said they need Fischer Prices doctor’s kits and bubbles for summer, so we made a run to our Walmart Hendersonville - N Anderson Lane. In addition to all of our bows and ballcaps, of course!!.
I just got back on Friday from Beach Camp 2018 with First Baptist Church Hendersonville and it was nothing short of amazing!! We saw God work in mysterious and incredible ways!! We had a guest pastor at beach camp, named Casey Williams, and on Wednesday night, he read to us Galatians 1:10 which talks about how as servants of Christ, we do not have to strive to please people. This verse was my biggest takeaway from camp, because it is a constant reminder that I don’t need to i...mpress anyone or attempt to be someone I’m not because Christ loves me and as his child and a servant of Him, I have everything I need. I encourage everyone to know this and always seek God first because ultimately his praise is the only thing that matters in the end, unlike worthless earthly praise. Basically, just know your worth and how much God loves you, because His love is so great and reckless and powerful and He can and will change your life if you let him in and he will impact your life greatly, just like he did to mine this past week at beach camp!
Today we had yet another fantastic NAAF meeting!! We got to meet some amazing new young girls, and hangout with returning friends! This group has turned into a family, and I look forward to seeing them every time we have a meeting! If you or anyone you know has Alopecia, please feel free to contact us and we would love to get you plugged in to a support group. I can’t thank these young girls and boy enough for the impact they have all had on my life!! I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Earlier this week, we had the fabulous opportunity to share some of our Bows and Ballcaps with a few families from Sumner County with kids going through cancer. With BOWS & BALLCAPS, we are rarely able to visit and see the kids we help at the hospitals, and so being able to see the smiles and joy on these kids faces when they receive a bow or a ballcap makes it all so much more real. It was an amazing experience, and I hope and pray that every kid is able to feel this way during a time which can be so stressful and discouraging. It was great to meet all of these families and kids and see all that Mighty Mitchell and Sumner County Goes Gold is doing to help other families. Thank you so much for inviting us. I hope you all have an amazing week full of love and joy!
