People are so nice!!! Today in Gatlinburg, I went to buy a funnel cake, and then, my mom wanted a picture. I went to take the picture, and this sweet lady came up behind me and handed this flower to me and said "have a nice day." A note was attached that said, " Never let opinions from strangers affect you...except for me...let my opinion affect you because 'you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalms 139:14.'" People are so nice, and I encourage all of you to be just as nice all the time.

Merry Christmas, everyone!!! Do you like my new bow??

I am so excited! Yes, because it's almost Christmas, but also because last night we received a very generous donation to the charity. I was so thrilled. Last night, the Hendersonville Kroger donated lots of items as a donation to our care packages. They restocked us, and for that, we are very thankful. This week's word is SING!!  I am so thrilled to do this word, because I love to sing.  And this time of year, we are probably all singing more than usual because of all of the wonderful Christmas songs that are being played everywhere.  All week, I have been singing a specific song that I had never heard until this week (even though my mom told me it's actually an old song)... Dolly Parton's "Coat of Many Colors."  In the entire song, Dolly is talking about how poor she is, and how her mom makes her a coat out of a box of rags.  My favorite line in the song is when she says, "One is only poor only if they choose to be."  It's basically saying that you can be living on the street but as long as you are rich in happiness and love, you are as rich as anyone in the world.  That's the case with most things in life... you are what you choose to be.  So remember, don't compare yourself with anyone else.  Wouldn't you rather be happy and poor than unhappy and rich??  This week, I want you to choose to SING!  SING as loud, proud and off-key as you can with a smile on your face!!
