I am working on a project to have a fundraiser lunch in Hendersonville next Sunday to collect toys and other things for these kids who have to spend Christmas in the hospital. I will post more about this when we get everything worked out, but I am very excited about it and hope to see lots of friends there. Thanks to all of your for your love and continued support. Love, Hannah
Today, we delivered our second donation of bows and ballcaps to Vanderbilt Children's hospital. While we were there, we saw several kids spending time with their families. We saw a little girl who was playing games with her parents. We saw another little boy picking out a DVD to watch. And then we saw a little girl without hair who was probably about five-years-old being carried by her mom through the theater area. She was plugged into what my mom explained was an IV, and her mom was pulling the machine along with them as they walked. As we left, I kept thinking about those sweet kids and how different this holiday season probably is for them. It made me really sad, and I am saying a special prayer for each of them to feel better and for them to have a blessed Christmas with their families.
