Our first fall break road trip visit was to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. So this is in the category of things that go wrong that turn out to be perfectly right. We had a miscommunication with our meeting yesterday that led to us not being able to meet with the woman we had the meeting scheduled with who happens to be the woman we've been working with for the last nearly two years. But because of the mishap, we met the amazing Kathy Cox who is the Guest Liason For... Volunteer Services at the hospital and is absolutely one of the sweetest souls you will ever meet. And then today, we got to go back and meet with our original contact and get a behind the scenes look at the donations area and all of the amazing work they do at this hospital. I have always been a supporter of St. Jude, but after this visit, I am completely in awe of this organization and all that they do for every child literally in the world with cancer. Any chance you have, please, please give and support all that they do. Every person that works there is filled with hope and joy for these families. Just wonderful!! We are so blessed to be able to do a very tiny little part to help these kids.
