It's going to be a busy week for BOWS & BALLCAPS. We worked this morning to get all of our bows and ballcaps tagged and packed for TWO hospital visits this week. We are going to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital during the week and to our new adopted hospital, East Tennessee Children's Hospital in Knoxville, on Friday. I can hardly wait to visit the hospitals. It's so exciting to know that the bows and ballcaps are getting used.... Vanderbilt emailed us on Friday to tell us they were completely out and needed more! I'll be sure to keep you updated after we visit the hospitals. I'm so excited that summer is here so I have more time to spend on BOWS & BALLCAPS. Thanks again for all of the support. Love, -&-HannaH-&-

On Wednesday night, I went to speak to a church group of about a dozen girls ranging from 8-12 years old at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Gallatin, TN.. They invited me to come speak to them about me and my charity. And they wanted to do a service project, so they helped me tag bows and ballcaps for our visit to the East Tennessee Children's Hospital in Knoxville in two weeks. It was so much fun to get to tell the girls a little more about the charity. I know I had fun, and I hope they did too. Not only am I telling more people about BOWS & BALLCAPS, but I'm also making new friends!! Which luckily .......... is a win-win-win for everybody. Thanks again to Ms. Donna and all of my awesome new friends for having me and for helping me with my charity!! Thanks for all of the support.
-&-Hannah-&- This morning, I did an interview with Ms. Martie, a reporter for "The Old Farmer's Almanac for Kids." She is doing a story about kids making a difference in their communities, and they are going to include me and 5 other kids in the article!! This book will be coming out in 2015 and it will be sold in bookstores like Barnes & Noble and Wal-Mart and on Amazon.com. So exciting!! Even though it's a long time until it comes out, I can't wait to see it. There's been so much exciting B&B activity this week. We have scheduled our first visit to a new hospital.... we are going to The East Tennessee Children's Hospital in Knoxville in a couple of weeks. I've been asked to come meet with a record label/artist on Tuesday morning for a hat donation, and I'm making my first visit to speak to a group of 8-12 year-old girls at a church in Gallatin on Wednesday night. And the care package program is going great!!! We've already sent out 20-25 care packages to kids with cancer and also been able to help other kids with Alopecia Areata. (We have added a list of donations needed for the care packages on our website... we're getting great feedback and emails from the kids that are receiving them!!) I really feel like B&B is helping me accomplish the reason God put me on this earth. It's so exciting the opportunities and requests that keep coming our way. Thank you so much for the overall support you give to BOWS & BALLCAPS. I can't believe all we've been able to do in nine months. Thanks again. -&-HannaH-&- |
