Look at these super fun animal print hats we found at Dollar Tree! Yes, they are $1 each. We bought out the store because they are PERFECT for our preteen and teen girls. And they are super lightweight, so they are just right for summer. We're packing them this week to send out to our hospitals. We often get emails or questions about how you can help BOWS & BALLCAPS. Here's a special request! If you live near a Dollar Tree, please stop by and get more of these hats for us!! We appreciate it SOOO much! The girls are going to LOVE them! Thanks for all of your love and support! Love, -&-HannaH-&- |

Today, I got the pleasure of seeing Ms. Tamara, Ms. Alexa, Ms, Cheryl and all of my friends at East Tennessee Children's Hospital.. We delivered our headband bows (which they said the kids LOVE), 250 ballcaps for all of the kids at their summer camps, and a special delivery of care packages for the kids in these cute tote bags. Again, a huge thank you to The Amies, the Oakhill Brownie Troop and the Boys & Girls Club at Whitten Elementary for the donations to help make these care packages possible. First day of summer break, and hospital visit #1 is already complete. I can't wait for what's next. We have lots more deliveries to make. Oh, and they also gave Sara and me these awesome ETCH t-shirts in the perfect shade of orange!! Thanks again to the wonderful team there in Volunteer Services. You guys are amazing. And Happy Memorial Day Weekend to everyone. Do something special for someone this weekend in memory of the people that have done so much for all of us!
Love, -&-HannaH-&- Tonight, I want to talk about care packages. We have been more than blessed recently with some wonderful donations for our care package program. I would especially like to thank a special group of 26 ladies called "The Amies." Their notes explained that their name is french for female friends on a mission for God. These sweet ladies picked BOWS & BALLCAPS as their first project, and they sent us two huge boxes full of AMAZING items for our care packages. They were so kind in donating all of these wonderful items for our care packages (that's most of the items in the picture at left). In the picture at right, I am making care package bags to give kids at East Tennessee Children's Hospital this weekend. I am so excited that this time, we will not only be able to take bows and ballcaps, but we are also taking care packages for the kids. I can't wait!! And if you know of a child diagnosed with cancer or alopecia, please let us know so we can send a special care package right to their door. Thank you all for your continued love and support. Oh, and wish me luck in my five final exams this week. Yikes!! I promise, I've been studying this weekend too!!
Love, -&-HannaH-&- Last week, I was invited to speak to an awesome group of Girl Scout Brownies at Oak Hill School in Nashville. The girls were so nice, cute, funny, sweet, and loving, and I had so much fun meeting them all. It was the perfect visit. They listened so well when I told them the story of BOWS & BALLCAPS, and then they put together care packages for us. The coolest thing by far was the fact that two of the people there had had cancer. One of the girls, May, had cancer and lost all of her hair. Her story was so interesting, and she also showed me a picture of herself when she was had lost her hair from the treatments (she was featured in a poster for St. Jude Children's Hospital.) Their troop leader has also had cancer this year. I'm so happy both of them have fought cancer and won!!! Thank you all for a wonderful visit, and I hope to be able to visit with you again!. And thank you for the awesome care packages. The kids will LOVE them..
