We get requests all the time from different groups asking how they could help us with a service project. Well, I've been doing a little research with the hospitals, and it turns out that the kids LOVE these Fleece Tie Blankets. They are super easy to make and perfect for a service project for a group of Girl Scouts, a church group, a group of friends or even a mom and daughter or sisters!!. So in honor of being recognized for my service, I want to challenge all of you. How many of these fleece blankets can we make for the hospitals??? Tomorrow is President's Day! Are you off? Can you make a blanket?? How about during Spring Break in a few weeks? Host a service day with your friends or group and make a few blankets? The kids will LOVE them!! And you will have fun making them and be blessed knowing you are going to but a smile on a child's face!!. We went to Joann's after church today, and they have all of their fleece 70% off right now for President's Day Weekend. Sara and I made a couple of blankets this afternoon and got fabric to make 10 more. Here's all you need: 1 1/2 yards of two different fleece fabrics and scissors. Cut the 1-inch strips all the way around and tie them together. It really is that simple. There's also all kinds of videos and more details on how to make them online if you need more help. Let's see how much we can do!! We will collect blankets if you are in the Nashville area. And if we get some groups in East Tennessee, we'll coordinate pick-up and delivery for East Tennessee Children's Hospital. Thank you all for your continued love and support!! And Happy Valentine's Day!!
